Definitely the best sushi restaurant experience I've ever had in Toronto. I've never experienced so many different types of fishes and sashimi before. This restaurant only has two options on their menu, both the pre-fixe menu, we took the smaller one. I wish I could explain each dish in detail, but that would take me hours to write. Bottom line, it was worth every penny. And they have a great selection of saki.
A hidden gem. Great omakase experience: fresh, well executed layers of flavors, great service. Bring an empty stomach too, because it just keeps coming.
This restaurant offer two choices of omakase courses… the difference is the Wagyu sukiyaki. The fish is great but toro and uni are extra charges. The experience is a positive one but with two minor complaints. I picked the sushi bar seating but the way they operate, pretty much not much difference in dining table seating where different sushi chef made different portion of the sushi course about 5-10 min ahead of time and I felt no connection with any sushi chef when sitting at sushi counter. I also found the sushi has too much rice in it in my opinion.
It’s still a good experience all in all… the service staff are super friendly and attentive!
Came with my partner for his birthday and we had a wonderful experience. On par with many great omakase restaurants in Toronto. All the menu items were well thought out and the sashimi and nigiri very fresh and delicious. I left feeling quite full. They have a good sake menu. Ambiance is very chill and relaxing. The sushi chefs are all so sweet and chef Kaji himself hilariously animated. It was very clear the staff enjoy making sure you have a great time.
It was an honor to dine with one of Toronto's OG itamae and his team. Every part of the ~16 course omakase was fantastic, from the outstanding opener (a summery twist on hiyayakko using sweet corn tofu) to the understated and elegant finish (coconut ice cream with jasmine crumble and peach compote). It's impossible to pick a single favorite bite of sushi (hirame gave me a rush of nostalgia, o-toro is always decadent, aji remains a favorite fish, how can you not enjoy Hokkaido uni, and let us not forget the beauty of a torched scallop with a little sansho sauce), except maybe to say that being lucky enough to get some engawa here was a real treat. Thank you, Kaji-san!
Got to finally try this place!!
I was so excited my partner booked this place and it met my every longing expectation. Food was great for omakase at this price point. Decent portion and a unique beverage selection. My partner enjoyed the non alcoholic option very much.
This omakase counter feels very spacious which gives more privacy than other omakase bars. There wasn’t much interaction with the chefs but they were attentive and great service overall.
I leave 4 stars review as I feel like sushis were of similar palette (creamy, fatty side of things and a repeated garnish) than more variety.
Can’t wait to go back!
Simply amazing! Unassuming, but elegant restaurant. Very fresh fish imported daily from Japan and Europe, and even Morocco. Authentic Japanese sushi dining experience. Every course served was delicious! Great place for special occasions, celebrations, and a taste of Japan.
This Sushi Restaurant is absolutely worth its weight in Gold. There's this amazing ambience about it that's light, charming, and really welcoming.
My girlfriend and I decided to visit this place on our anniversary and we are absolutely grateful we have.
I'm a stranger to fish culinary so it so nice that a guide gives you the best summary of what each meal contains and even the pictures I attach may not do so much justice to how beautiful these dishes are.
It's also cool seeing the chef prepare our dish and interact with him as he cooked up wonderful dishes.
I'm smiling as I write this and we're already planning to visit here next year.
